I needed something easy and comfortable today and light layers more than satisfied.

Up early today to work on a side project. Best part of working on the weekend is that I get to work with my favorite assistant editor, Tiberius!

A technology partner from the east coast was in the office the other day for presentations and dinner. Decided it was best to ditch the t-shirts for the day.

I tend to shock people with the weight of my weekday bags and totes. It's pretty amazing how much stuff I carry around. I don't use all of it at all times but have discovered a truth over the years: the moment I don't have something in my bag is the exact moment when I'll need it.
 
Notes: the big headphones are a "do not disturb" sign for my person. The e-ink Kindle is for when I want to read outside or someplace where I fear for the safety of my much more expensive iPad. The Zombies "Dead Sexy" wallet is because the art comes from one of our comics. It has also has to be the one accessory I get the most positive feedback from strangers, "Hey, your wallet's awesome!"

I have a pair of terribly torn jeans but they are the most comfortable jeans I've ever had, thus they've been relegated to weekend chores - usually ones that involve painting. I often pair the jeans with a ridiculously long yellow tweed scarf that I knitted over New Year's. I'm pretty certain that I look pretty shabby but it's so comfortable I don't care.

The blazer pictured is a close match to an MNG one that I bought about 6 years ago. Not needing to wear suits to the office anymore (I had a short stint in the Aussie gov), it and its matching vest and pants have been in my closet for far too long and so today I decided to break it out. I liked the outfit overall but am not sure that the sweater worked as well as the other bits.

It was a bit gloomy so I bundled up (San Diego style). This outfit actually scored a ton of compliments at the office - most likely because it's terribly unusual to find me without a graphic t-shirt. Folks really liked the sweater, I must admit that I do too. It's incredibly comfy and has a really nice feel, plus it's pretty cute.
